Moving Sprinklers
At the farm, if I got up early enough, I could go with uncle Phil to move the sprinklers. We would wade through the dewy fields and he would hoist big pipes to the next section of field to be watered that day. Once the sprinklers were done and the cows were milked, we would come in for breakfast.
When I was a child, I remember going with Grandpa and Dad to repair the old wooden flumes that carried the water above ground from Price Creek and Rosen Creek via gravity down to the house and farm yard. …..homesteader aqueducts
